Day 3: Lake Tekapo – Lake Pukaki – Mount Cook

Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki are among the most famous natural attractions on New Zealand’s South Island. Their magical turquoise-blue waters look like emerald jewels surrounded by snow-capped mountains, including Mount Cook, which rises over 3,200 metres and remains snow-covered year-round.

Lake Pukaki and Mount Cook were important filming locations for The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

From November to January, the famous Lupin flowers bloom along the lakeshores, creating a magical fairytale-like landscape.

Day 4: Te Anau – Milford Sound

Explore the famous glowworm caves, home to a unique species of glowworm found only in New Zealand.
(The cave experience is not included when joining the North Island combined tour; an alternative activity will be arranged.)

  • Discover spectacular waterfalls and experience the breathtaking mountain roads of the “land of a thousand waterfalls.”
  • Cruise through the magnificent fjords of Milford Sound, one of the world’s great natural wonders.
  • Witness dramatic waterfalls plunging directly into the ocean — scenery that looks straight out of a movie, now experienced with your own eyes.

Enjoy the pristine waters where seals bask peacefully and whales can sometimes be seen swimming near the boat.

Day 5: Queenstown

Explore Queenstown, a small but vibrant resort town loved by visitors from all over the world.

Take a scenic ride to the mountaintop and enjoy panoramic views of the magnificent surrounding mountains and landscapes.
